The i7 processor is super fast and windows 7 is superb in every way imaginable. I have absolutely no problems running the adobe creative suite. I was wondering whether the lower screen resolution than other models would be noticable, but it is not. The graphics card is excellent and the blu-ray picture quality is amazing. Also, I would have to say that the speakers are much louder and clearer than my previous hp unit. And yes, the battery life is short (no more than an hour and a half with the six cell), this is to be expected. This is a performance laptop, not a portable one, but I would go ahead and recommend getting the twelve cell battery. Not to heavy, though, which is nice. Also, I love the slick design and the touch pad buttons. Overall, fantastic purchase

excellent product in just about every way but one. in the touchsmart mode, its so geared toward media management. as a controller, player, editor, etc... what it needs is a HDMI output port. i would love to use this device primarily in the living room and have it workas blue-ray player to the larger HDTV while also being able to connect to my media smart server and play media files to the home theater. i'm not really sure why it doesn't have one since even the new 12.1 inch touchsmart laptop PC has one. a 23-inch sceen it has, but a substitute to the HDTV in the media/living room, it is not

Did not have any issues with placing my order and shipping, delivery. CPU is hyperthreaded and for OS software looks like 8 processors. Wireless card is very sensitive. Can pick up even smallest signal. Tested HDTV tuner last Sunday with NFL game. Full HD fantastic picture with great sound while other application where running. Fingerprint reader and it's software i think is the best. It does recognize other application login prompt, example: gmail, F-Secure SSH client. Once you get login prompt from your app and it is recognized small icon pops up giving you option to use fingerprint reader. You can click on it, enter your login name and password and later use fingerprint reader for access. Password? What password :-). Running on this laptop also latest VMware 7 with 3 VM's: RHEL x32, RHEL x64, Win XP 32bit. No issues whatsoever. Most of the time 4 out of 8 hyper CPU's are still parked. I absolutely love this computer!!! I customized mine with Win 7, 2gb RAM, and external optical Lightscribe drive, while everything else is standard. I just received it yesterday, and so far there seems to be no problems, except for the trackpad. It's too close to the keyboard, and when I type the cursor moves a lot. This laptop is very light, and that makes me happy because it doesn't take up too much room and since I weigh between 85-95 lbs it's easy for me to carry. I am a Junior in college and with this laptop, along with my HP Touchsmart PC, I have all the tools I need to do well in school. Buy this laptop and I promise you won't be disappointed
